Larson Electronics LLC Unleashes Portable 480V Power Distribution for Industrial Use
KEMP, Texas, May 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Larson Electronics, a business with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing industrial lighting systems and power distribution stations, announced the release of a 75 KVA portable power distribution station for power-intensive, off-site projects. This temporary power distribution unit accepts 480V three phase voltage on the primary side and provides 208Y/120V three phase voltage on the secondary side.

The MGS-480V-3X100-1X30.60-75KVA-208Y-6X50-1X30-20X20 is designed for heavy-duty use and applications. Operators bring 480V three-phase power using a customer-provided cord into an 800-amp main circuit breaker panel on the primary side. This NEMA-rated primary panel contains three, 100-amp ADR1034, one, 60-amp ADR6034, and one, 30-amp ADR3034 600V-rated receptacles for 480V three phase equipment.
The NEMA-rated, 75 KVA transformer converts 480V to 208Y/120V three phase and passes power to a 250-amp 208Y/120V three phase main circuit breaker panel on the secondary side of the station. The secondary panel is equipped with five, 50-amp CS6369 125/250V, one, 50-amp CS8369 250V, one, 30-amp L15-30R 250V and twenty, 20-amp 5-20R duplex 125V receptacles.
All receptacles are protected by weatherproof covers. GFCI protection is available for all 20-amp circuit breakers. One, 100-amp 3-pole breaker is accessible as a spare component inside the secondary panel.
The MGS-480V-3X100-1X30.60-75KVA-208Y-6X50-1X30-20X20 is mounted on a portable cart for seamless transportation around the work site. The frame is constructed of thick carbon steel for robust durability. Rubber wheels with locking casters provide stability during use. The square tube frame also consists of skid pockets, allowing forklifts and other lifting equipment to hoist the unit during transportation. Lifting eyelets can be used to lift the portable power distribution station using cables or chains.
For maximum compatibility, Larson Electronics, as a UL 1640 panel shop, can customize this power distribution station to accommodate the power requirements of projects.
