Happy Birthday: Prouds Duty Free celebrates three years in Papua New Guinea

PAPUA NEW GUINEA. Prouds Duty Free is marking the third anniversary of the opening of its duty free store at Jacksons International Airport in Port Moresby.

Official celebrations, in partnership with CPL Group, the largest multi-format retailer in Papua New Guinea, took place at the airport earlier this month.

Prouds Papua New Guinea Manager Kiran Rathod said: “The past 36 months have been very exciting and challenging for us. The timing of our official opening coincided with the opening of the 2015 Pacific Games which PNG hosted and it was a really great way to start business in the fastest-growing Pacific nation with a workforce of 42 staff.”

Rathod said the Prouds Duty Free store was aligned with the latest international duty free and travel retail trends and its customers were able to purchase with confidence.

CPL Managing Director Mahesh Patel noted positive customer feedback: “You have made us all proud,” he said.
