Ukraine rescues two more children from Russian-occupied territory
Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"One of them is a boy who was orphaned after his mother was killed by Russian troops. A relative reached out for help to save the child, and the boy was evacuated. He is now safe, and efforts are underway to find him a family that will provide proper care and support," Yermak said.
Additionally, a girl and her mother, who had been unable to leave due to Russian-imposed restrictions, were evacuated to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
"I am grateful to the Ukrainian Child Rights Network for assisting in organizing this rescue mission. We are fulfilling the President's task -- to bring all children home," Yermak said.
On March 29, five children were returned from Russian-occupied territories and Russia.
