One of Sierra Leone’s popular comedians, Comedian Faculty has revealed that the much-talked-about conflict between him and his fellow comedian, Yemata was merely an orchestrated prank intended to gauge public reaction.

In a recent Facebook post, Comedian Faculty expressed relief at having shared the truth, asserting that the stand-up comedy community remains united despite the social media drama.

“We’re not letting anything come between us, and we’ll continue to support each other,” Faculty stated in his post. He urged fans not to take the prank personally, emphasizing that it was all in good fun. “To our fans, please don’t take anything personally; it was all just a drama-filled prank,” he reassured.

Comedian Faculty expressed gratitude towards the public for their understanding and support, before announcing a playful change in leadership within their comedian circle. “Jabez still remains the president, and I’m stepping down from my ‘self-proclaimed’ presidency. We’re good, and comedy lives on!” he concluded.

In response to his Facebook post, Yemata Comedian has expressed concern regarding the portrayal of their interactions. He claimed to be unaware of the prank that Comedian Faculty described and accused Faculty of disrespecting an elder. “I urge the public to kindly ignore the drama that was put on by Comedian Faculty on the media,” Yemata pleaded, stressing that their group still stands strong together.

Further complicating matters, Yemata claimed that a picture posted by Comedian Faculty was outdated, taken during a visit to Richie Obama at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and not reflective of their current relationship.
