Panama Man Charged After Meth, Fentanyl Bust

PANAMA — A parole check at 9 School St. led to the seizure of methamphetamine and fentanyl and the arrest of a Panama man.
Narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Dunkirk Police Department were called to assist after narcotics were found at the residence. A search warrant from the Town of Harmony Court was then obtained around 9 a.m. March 20.
The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of 30.5 grams of methamphetamine, 1 gram of fentanyl and scales and packaging material for the distribution of narcotics. James Chase was charged with third-, fourth- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Chase was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for the Centralized Arraignment Program.
