The Manny Ramjohn Stadium is expected to host the track events for the April 4-6 Carifta trials. The Marabella venue is in a poor state, but, in the words of National Association of Athletics Administrations (NAAATT) president Ephraim Serrette, is “the best of a bad lot”.

The track is worn, with large bare spots close to the finish line.

“Manny Ramjohn has the best available track at this time,” Serrette explained, “unless you want to do it on a grass track which nobody wants to these days. It’s the best facility at this time to conduct such a trial.”
