Tel Aviv: Boaz Bismuth, a member of Israel's Parliament Knesset, said that his country is going to achieve the desired objectives in the war against the militant group, Hamas, in Palestine. In an exclusive interview with Times Now, Bismuth said that war is going in the right direction.
"Of course, it's tough and rough. We're losing soldiers. Soldiers are dying. I mean, our heart goes to the families. And more than that, hostages. Hostages are still there. 133 among them young women, among them a baby one-year-old. So it's tough and rough. But in order to obtain the two objectives that we have declared on the 17th of October, de-mantling Hamas or evacuating terrorists from the Gaza Strip, not only for us, but also for the Gaza people, and bringing back our hostages," Bismuth stated.
When asked about the international pressure on Israel after around 40,000 people died in Gaza, the Israel's Knesset member said that the number of civilian casualties was given by Hamas and Israel is fighting against terrorists.
Bismuth's Interview With Times Now:
"First of all, the numbers you mentioned. I don't know the numbers. You know the numbers. Hamas is giving you the numbers. And you do not and you cannot also tell me among them how many are terrorists. We do not know. This is what Hamas says. But I know one thing. I know I'm fighting against terrorists. It's Israel against terrorists.," Bismuth stated.
He clarified that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was not against civilians in Gaza but Israel is against terrorists. He further stated that Israel would not step back until all the hostages were released by Hamas.
Hamas Attack on Israel:
Hamas fired a barrage of rockets into Israel on October 7. Nova Music Festival was one of the first attack site on October 7. While over four thousand people were gathered at the festival to celebrate music, the attack took place. As per the data available, over three hundred were killed, a hundred injured and over sixty were taken hostage from this site.
Six months later, the site has turned into a memorial, with plant saplings bearing the names of young men and women killed that morning.
Rockets rained from the skies as militant group Hamas attacked Israeli cities in midnight bombardment on October 7, catching the middle east nation off guard. Israel estimates that about 1,200 people were killed in Hamas' attack, including more than 300 soldiers, and says 256 soldiers have been killed since the start of its military operation in Gaza.
