Qatar Meteorology warns of poor horizontal visibility

Doha: Weather inshore until 6 pm on Thursday will be hazy to misty/foggy at places at first, becoming hot daytime and slight dust with chance local clouds at places, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected poor horizontal visibility at places by early morning and strong wind by afternoon.

Offshore, it will be fine, the report said, warning of expected strong wind and high sea to the north by late night.

Wind inshore will be northwesterly to northeasterly 05 to 15 knot reaching 20 knot at places by afternoon, offshore will be northwesterly to northeasterly 08 to 18 knot, reaching 22 knot to the north by night.

Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometers and 2 kilometers at places at first. Sea state inshore will be one to three feet, reaching four feet at places at times, while offshore it will be three to five feet rises to seven feet to the north by night.
