Kyrgyzstan wins second gold medal at Asian Games in Ashgabat

Bishkek, Sept. 21, 2017 / Kabar/. Kyrgyz sportsman Tynchtykbek uulu Bekzat won a gold medal in the wrestling on the belts (classical style) at the Asian indoor games and martial arts in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).

Tynchtykbek uulu Bekzat performed in the weight category up to 55 kg. In the finals, Kyrgyz athlete defeated athlete from Turkmenistan Sapa Zhumayev.

This is the second gold medal of Kyrgyzstan at these games. Besides, Kyrgyzstan has nine silver and 15 bronze medals.

153 sportsmen represent Kyrgyzstan at the Asian Games in 17 sports: athletics, swimming, wrestling, basketball 3x3, wrestling on the belts, billiard sports, chess, sports dances, equestrian sport - jumping, futsal, jujitsu, kickboxing, Kazakh wrestling kurash, Thai boxing, sambo, taekwondo, national Turkmen wrestling.
